BETHEL's CAMPUS OUTREACH MINISTRY - serves as a source of community and Christian fellowship for undergraduate and graduate students of all educational disciplines and religious denominations, at College and University campuses in the Ann Arbor Area. Members of the organization strive to nurture and strengthen the students' personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the teaching and discussion of His word, and activities that encourage fellowship.

Bible Study for Campus - New Genesis Bible study is now in Dennison 337 (DENN 337). Same time, 12:15 for lunch and 12:30 for Study.  Any college student/grad/post doc is welcome from any campus.
 

FELLOWSHIP AND DINNER

Each month college students on any campus are invited to come and share a dinner together.  This dinner is for college students / graduate students / post docs.  It provides an opportunity for them to get to know one another.  The event is designed to establish friendships and connections with other students, that you might know those around you with some of the same struggles and beliefs.  If you want to be notified when and where the dinner will be held, please asked to have your e-mail added to the list of those notified each month, by contacting us at NewGenesisCampus1@umich.edu   We have attendance from Washtenaw Community College, Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan.  All students on any campus are welcome to join us.  We offer information at these dinners about professionals who will make themselves available to you, and we plan one time a year, when these professionals join us.

 AFFILIATED MEMBERSHIP (WATCHCARE)

Bethel AME Church extends to students, who attend a college or university in greater Washtenaw County, an invitation to join our congregation as an affiliated member. An affiliate member privileges include active participation in all services, auxiliaries and community initiatives.

Each student is assigned to a class leader. Bethel’s class leaders and auxiliaries perform a special supportive role to encourage students in their Christian walk. An Affiliated status is a special membership for students while they attend school away from their home church.

 
PARTNERSHIP

Bethel AME is establishing partnerships with colleges and universities in Washtenaw County for the purpose of creating needed linkages between higher education institutions and a Christian community organization.  Partnerships will 1) provide the vehicle for educational institutions to access the community through Bethel as a collaborating partner and 2) assist our organization in providing spiritual support to students, on and off campus.


SPECIAL EVENTS

Special events are inclusive of church or co-sponsored activities with higher education institutions that promote the spiritual well being of Christian students.  Church sponsorted events may include
